CR AU (Optional): N/A

Personality:
Positive Trait: COMPASSION

There are several times throughout the story when Levi will surprise you with his compassion. It's subtle, and he'd never make a point of addressing it. If anyone mentions it to him, they'll be faced with a look that could kill. Mostly, we see his compassion when it comes to his fellow survey corps members. For example, he even manages to swallow down his neuroses about mess and filth to grasp the bloodied and muddied hand of a dying fellow scout. Despite the mission being a failure, he reassures his teammate that his death wasn't pointless, that he made a difference, and that he should be proud.

He does this again with Eren, specifically with how patient he is and how willing he is to protect him at even his own cost. When Eren isn't quite used to using his Titan Shifter abilities and transforms in the middle of camp, Levi calmly steps in between Eren and the terrified, threatening weapons of his squad to stand up for and protect Eren, someone whom, at this point, he doesn't know that well. Levi knows what it's like to be the outsider, to be different and have no one on his side, so he feels compassion for Erin in that moment. Additionally, there is the fact that Eren believes Eren might be the key to stopping the Titans, so Levi will do whatever he can to keep them safe, driven by his loyalty and compassion for how much Erwin is willing to lose for humanity by taking this chance.

Levi is an ass; he can be a total dick and honestly is most of the time. However, there is something about him that keeps his teammates supporting him, to the point that they are all willing to lay their lives on the line for him. Likewise, Levi would rush into the mouth of a titan if it meant saving someone else over himself.

He shows his compassion in smaller ways, too, like humoring Petra's crush on him when it comes to talking to her parents after her death, despite how much it hurts him; he goes along with the talk of romance and marriage just so as not to break the memory and image her parents have. He also gives someone Petra's scouting legion badge, which he took off her body as a memento for himself. Seeing how his fellow scout is struggling to move on, and putting them all at risk, Levi sacrifices the last thing he has of Petra, saying it belonged to the grieving scout's friend, even as he dumps Petra's body off the wagon so they can lighten the load and escape the maws of the titan, an act that makes people look at him like he's hearltless despite the deep sorrow he feeels in doing so.

Negative Trait: ALOOFNESS

Levi has mastered the state of being distant, detached, or uninvolved, both physically and emotionally. His attitude is cold, reserved, and seems lacking in friendliness, as well as showing little to no interest in others. Even Levi's squad describes him as indifferent or unapproachable

Levi displays all the traits of the meaning of the word aloof. From keeping a physical distance from others, be it by staying back and leaning against a wall when a group of people are together, or remaining untouchable at the front of a patrol with his Commander, Erwin. He'll fold his arms across his chest and keep his head tilted down and eyes narrow, judging even. His whole body language is very standoffish.

He also keeps an emotional distance and appears uncaring or lacks empathy when talking to or about others. He does this with Petra, who seems smitten with him, brushing her off and dismissing her, even if he does care a great deal about her. He's the same with Oluo, who seems to idolize Levi to the point of trying to copy how he wears his hair and the way he talks. Levi flat-out ignores this, never addressing it even when the rest of his squad openly mocks Oluo for it. He has a cold and reserved demeanor, showing a lack of friendliness and warmth towards these small few who would literally give their life on his order. Levi leaves the room or sneaks away so as not to engage or participate in social interactions or group activities, unless it's to discuss battle plans. Prefering to be either by himself or in Erwin's company rather than being around everyone else.

Lastly, he appears to display a sense of indifference or lack of interest in the concerns or feelings of others, like when the Female Titan is giving them chase, and several of his men are being killed. His crew were screaming at him to let them stop and fight, that they're just going to all be killed, Eren is tryig to convince him to let him stop and fight but, Levi watches on, seemingly unpahsed or moved by their plea and the screams of his dying men, insisting they move onwards and continue with the plan.

Negative Trait: VIOLENT

Okay, so, it doesn't sound like such a bad trait considering the world he lives in and all, but... Violence is all Levi has known. From the slums of the underground city he lived in as a streetrat of a child, to the onslaught of titans consuming copious amounts of humans, and even then, the humans inside the walls, fighting and scrapping over food and land. Violence is in his blood, his fists are fluent in it, and with a weapon in his hands, he's unstoppable. He's genuinely pretty scary, for how small he is, he has a tremendous amount of power and can use it well.

When Annie crystallizes herself to avoid interrogation, Levi is brutally violent in his description of what he's going to do to her when he can finally break through her crystal barrier. Asking her questions like: "If your hands and feet are cut off, you'll be okay, right? They'll just grow back, won't they?" He goes on like this for a while, telling her how he's slowly going to torture her until she talks, knowing full well that he was hurting her when they were fighting from her scream and the fear he has in her eyes for him when she tries to flee.

There is also the scene when Eren is on trial. The fact that most of those in charge see Eren as a threat and are leaning towards the agreement that he should be put to death before he can turn on humanity, Levi very violently displays how he can keep Eren in place by violently beating the shit out of him in front of them all. Apparently, he's holding himself back at the time, but the way he kicks, knees, and stomps on the kid, making him bleed and lose some teeth, you would have thought he was trying to kill him.

Levi is also extremely violent when fighting Titans. Sure, most of the other Scouts will shout and yell but you can tell by their faces that there is still some uncertainly or even fear in their expressions, whereas Levi is fully focused, cold sharp eyes with a look alone that could kill, crule snarling of his lips and then his actions are so swift, so fast, the power and violence behind it telling you that he means business. While he's just doing his job, his fellow scouts are often afrid of him because of this.

Negative Trait: INTROVERTED

You can assume that Levi is so introverted because of his childhood. The bastard son of a prostitute who lived in squalor, with nothing to their name other than a tea set. Beaten and bruised, malnourished and traumatised, having his bloodline power awaken in a fit of blind rage, killing everyone around him without remorse... He had no one; his mother was dead, no one cared about him, even his uncle, who eventually took him in, was cold and only really taught him how to fight with a knife and violent ways, so is it any wonder Levi kept himself to himself and opened up to very few people?

Levi is very much an introverted person; he feels more comfortable focusing on his inner thoughts and ideas, rather than what's happening externally. He enjoys spending time with just one or two people, such as Erwin or Hanji, rather than large groups or crowds. While it might not seem like such a terrible trait, it does stop people from getting to know Levi on a deeper level. To say he is humanity's strongest soldier, he doesn't have the charisma or charm you'd expect from someone revered as a hero.

The other bad thing about him being so introverted is that when something happens to the few people he opens up to, it's like his world is ending. For example, when Zeke kills Erwin, Levi snaps. He's never done this before. It makes him act recklessly, inevitably hurting and almost getting himself killed in the battle, a selfish thing for someone of his standing but since he doesn't make or maintain relationships all that well, he feels deeper and more painfully when his few actual friends are threatened or killed.

There is also the fact that the life expectancy for humans on Paradis Island is not very long at all. Be it from life choices such as joining the Scouts Corp, or simply living inside one of the outer walls, people die young and often in Levi's world, so why bother making friends and connections if they or you are just gonna die sooner rather than later anyway?

Powers and Abilities:

Ackerman Blood: The Ackermans have an "awakened power," which is basically that they have the power of a Titan without having to be a shifter. Levi describes it as knowing exactly what needs to be done and being able to do it. Basically, the Ackermans were part of a tribe that experimented with the Children of Yimr, giving their bloodline the ability to use titan strength, violence, speed, and unnatural agility once it had been awakened by a survival situation. For Levi, it was when he was five and merchants tried to sell him into slavary.

Fighting: Throughout the story, Levi is repeatedly referred to as Humanity's strongest soldier. His delerance, strength, and ruthlessness while fighting make him a formidable opponent for humans and Titans alike. Whether with a dagger, a blade, or his hands and feet, and despite his small size, Levi packs a punch and has the highest body count for kills for a human.

Speed/Agility: Levi's speed is unmatched; only Mikasa comes close to being as fast or agile as Levi. He's able to spin, roll, and propel himself like no other, using momentum and perfect timing to turn himself into something of a weapon.

Cleanliness: Sounds silly to call it an ability, but honestly, it is! Levi, for the time he lives in, he's able to get results, even with what little cleaning products they have! He can convince (forcibly if he has to) others to keep his high standards of cleanliness. He's a germaphobe and a perfectionist when it comes to keeping clean!
